Sometimes I wonder if CS is ever going to get easier. I feel like, I know what hes saying and understand it but applying it is really really different. I mean, its all review right now (besides the converting binary > decimal and base 10 and all that nonsense) but its still kind of confusing. Its been about a year and a half since ive fucked around with java, and that was when we used cmd prompt to COMPILE DEBUG AND RUN everything we did. yeah read that again, cmd prompt. not a solid compiler program like eclipse or net beans, cmd prompt. good lucky debugging any errors you have with cmd prmopt

for all you people who still watch TV and have seen some recent commercials

2 interesting things

1. a newer snuggle commercial is using either A. the exact same theme as Costa De Sol from FF7 or B. a slightly modified one with a thicker bass line. however, the similarities are incredible.

2. you know those commercials for that phone company that always ends in "yeah we didnt get that call"?. well, the one where Rex the fun living dinosaur is replaced by the t-rex is awesome because when the crazy t-rex comes in, he roars and shit but its the EXACT sound that Mutalisks make in starcraft.

its nuts but seriously, when you see these two commercials again you're gonna be like WTF beach town costa de sol music and omg mutalisk.

I saw the strangers sunday night with a group of 7 other people. I got in for free with some pass and cut the entire half hour line in under 4 minutes. Granted we were all shitfaced when we went to see it, the movie fucking sucked. BAD. Like, there were some dumb broads who were scared and gasping but I mean really, you could pretty much see when the scares and jumps were coming. There was also 0 story. I really mean that. Like legit. NOTHING. Yeah you found out that the dude asked the girl to marry her and that she declined and the cabin would have been where they spent the night. But guess what, thats it. Nothing else at all is explained. The ending was shit too. When it ended, we all stood up and looked at eachother and was just like "that movie fucking sucked." (minus the girls). I got in for free and wanted my money back. For a movie with a lot of hype behind it, it really shit the bed. I was reading reviews for it and I found the best way to describe it: "Unrestrained unexplained violence just for the thrill of it makes for a lousy movie. "

Honestly, despite Saw 4 being written by a different person than the previous Saw's, it was clearly the best and most intricate out of the entire series - even better than the 1st. If you truly watch it, study, and analyze what is going on, you'll realize its pure brilliance. If you just watch it and dont pay attention, you'll be so confused. Really, DL it, watch it, and figure it out, its amazing.

The Mausoleum Trap, The Hair Trap (the one ive been wondering when it was gonna happen) were awesome. The Knife Trap that is used on Cecil is the worst to me.

That looks like the right link and says that if inside the UMD drive it says IC1003, then its the right one. That one doesnt say for 2.82 though, it says 2.71.

Im looking for someone smart who knows what they're doing when it comes to this stuff (rsp, kenji). Pretty much just need to downgrade it to 1.50 firmware but I have no idea how to do that and if it gets fucked up, then it becomes non functional.

Most of them do. They have such sheer ignorance when it comes to certain brands of music - screamo, metal, power meta namely and even punk. Ex: underoath, unearth, dragonforce, anti-flag respectively - just some quick examples i could think up off the top of my head. Some others include like number 12 looks like you, august burns red, rhapsody. Okay im done with band names

Just some quick background - Music history/theory/appreciation class started last week and I like the class and teacher mainly because the teacher isnt self centered when it comes to music and knows what the hell hes talking about. Hes also a pretty cool guy in and out of class - something thats hard to find in my school.

anyways, we were discussing music theory and odd time signatures. he likes to play samples of what hes talking about which helps a lot. During this he playd Tool - Schism which I had heard but never thought about the time signatures on it (or any song for that matter). He had it broken down on a slide show and well, it was really out there. I think it was like in 7's for a while and then would break into 4's for like a measure and back to 7's and have accents on like the 3rd beat. It was really weird

Either way, I told him about dillinger and how they have some insane time signatures (or at least seem it?) because they supposedly use dice to pick them. He wanted me to bring them in and at first it seemed like a good idea because I figured id show it to him before/after school but it turns out he wanted the whole class to hear it. So I was kinda like ick about it just because I knew only 1 other person in the class would appreciate dillinger for what they were (and he actually likes them). Hard to find open music taste like that in teenagers and most people actually.

Anyways, so I played 43% burnt today for him because I figured that would be a great example with the jazz break in the middle and the intro/outro/weird accents all over the place. Turns out to be 4/4 except for intro/outro which is half time and the jazz break is 10/8.

Not the point. As im playing it i just see everyone around me either astonished by the music or just making fun of it. I generally dont care about what people think but ignorance just bugs me a lot. You dont have to like it, but apprecaite it for what its worth and at least admit that what they do is good for their genre. I heard shit like "thats not even singing" "sounds emotional, why is he screaming so much? screamoooo, they dont have any reason to be emo or screaming theyre making millions" "not even real music."

Kinda just gets under your skin since first off, I think that screaming like bands like dillinger, underoath, and #12 do is 100 folds harder than actually singing since you have to make sure you arent fucking up your voice or straining it too much. Theres a much bigger risk in screaming than "real singing." Second off, dep is no where close to emotional at all. Theyre songs are about like fucking rape or a relationship thing. Look up there lyrics (darklyrics.com). They also arent signed to a major record label and do what they do because they love there music. FYI, they get offers ALL the time but turn them down because the labels want them to tone it down on stage but they refuse. The real music argument is so stupid and just shows how close minded you are, theres no point to even arguing that.

Some people didnt care for it but didnt say anything about it and those people are the ones I have more respect for. I dont give a shit if you dont like it, dont go bashing it because its not something you would listen to.
